The Australian Cartoonist Association

The Australian Cartoonists Association is the world’s oldest professional cartoonists organisation. Started in 1924, it has grown from a small group of newspaper cartoonists to a much broader range of graphic artforms, including comic book art, comic strips, illustration, animation, caricature, digital media and childrens’ book illustration.

Members enjoy social gatherings, an annual awards night and weekend conference, a quarterly magazine and much more throughout the year. It is a valuable group for networking among peers in what can be a fairly isolated profession.
